Welcome to the official website of the United States Taekwon-do Center and Red Tiger Taekwon-do . Established in 1983 by Master Mario Cancelliere under the "EL" (Elevated Station) in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, the USTC-RED TIGER  has become one of the most respected and recognizable martial arts organizations in the United States.  With nearly 20 locations in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Arizona and Puerto Rico the USTC hopes to spread Taekwon-do to students of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds.Through its family discounted programs, no contractual agreements, flexible hours and variety of classes, the USTC-Red Tiger  demonstrates its commitment to students of all ages and abilities. 

Our philosophy, embedded in the tenets of Taekwon-do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self control and Indomitable Spirit) is coupled with a challenging mental and physical training regiment. However, the instructors of the USTC-RED TIGER   understand the importance of providing a well-balanced martial arts program and do not emphasize one aspect over another.  Hence, students will be well versed in the traditional aspects of Taekwon-do: patterns (Tuls), self-defense, sparring and breaking while enjoying an exciting and dynamic martial arts program. 

Through the USTC-Red Tiger's  affiliation to the International Taekwon-do Federation and ITF-USA, black belts are able to compete in ITF National/World Championships as well as receive national and international accreditation.  Specialized training and classes are available for those who aspire to compete at the World Class level.    Since 1983, the USTC - Red Tiger  is home to various National and World Champions!
